A push into architecture? - Finished: 2000
In January 1999 I ended my studies with a diploma and went - for the time being a last time - to Australia. I had my diploma with me on a picture-cd and went - half-heartedly though - into the architectural offices (when I came through larger towns - there werenīt many on the route, the ambition this time was the exploration of the outback).
The working procedures are quite different to the german ones. Nevertheless a even got a vague promise for a possible job!

Back in Germany I had to realize that the employment market especially in the building industry was very weak. I tried to get a job via so-called speculative applications. I had my diploma on paper - and failed.

I had to find a new strategy to stand out from the crowd. The then more or less unknown thing computer was the solution. Without knowledge of the technical base I put my diploma into a webbased environment using Dreamweaver.

It isnīt preserved completedly but the principle is still to see: Diploma internal link.

Unfortunately or fortunately some architects did not get the cd but a print of the thumbnails, the instruction "Please click on the thumnails to see the pictures in full size and with text" was ignored often, the cd not viewed. I got the prints back - together with letters of refusal...

When an architect wanted to hire me to get his firm into the internet, I decided to turn my back on the classic architecture and step into the it-architecture. I started to work with Flash.

Additionally I applied for a practical training and the company fme gave me a chance.

Meanwhile I kept on working on my project "application".
