We started with little, technically as well as concerning the content - in the meantime we are again about reorganizing, since we can offer nearly too many contents. The topics are of business nature as well as of private ones, the employee can take part interactively in divers services and features - and he briskly does so.
The first two big redesigns came from one of our customers` subsidiary companies - the last redesign was laid into our hands and beside design we emphasized a big deal on usability and made a big step forwards.My assignment, or parish, covered:
- the development of the navigational concept
- the designing of the content area
- the definition of the color-concept and
- the determination of standards
The employees accepted the redesign positively, which we could see by the numbers of users visiting and by the e-mails they send us.
I do editorial content support for the customer and can get creative with Photoshop and ImageReady in occasional campaigns. Further more I develop specifics of the project and do the specifications/delineations for new services that are embedded in the portal.I provide dummys to accomplish usability-tests, on which basis we improve the user guidance.
The portals´ technology is based on asp and asp.net and can be worked on with html, javascript and css.
I am working in the customers´ location and am there doing also the second level support.
